We didn't start as a software company.
The Managers PLT was previously known as Asertech Sdn. Bhd., incorporated in Malaysia on 24 October 2002. We started as a systems integrator — wiring up hardware and software for a school computer lab project. From there, the work grew into national telecommunications research, ERP development, and robotics work for Technology Park Malaysia, across two decades of government, university, and private-sector clients.
That history shaped how we build TheManager. We've seen firsthand how organizations struggle when their tools don't talk to each other — because we spent years building the systems that were supposed to fix it, one disconnected project at a time. TheManager is what we wished existed the whole way through: one platform, built for how Malaysian organizations actually operate, not retrofitted from someone else's.
Software alone doesn't fix an organization.
The Organisation Doctor For You (TOD4U) is a sister consultancy founded by Zie Teh Mohamad, CEO of TheManager, on 29 March 2023. Where TheManager builds the platform, TOD4U works alongside organizations directly — through consultancy, training and coaching — to diagnose and strengthen the parts of a business that software can't fix on its own.
TOD4U's approach rests on three pillars — People, Process & Technology — treated as an interconnected ecosystem rather than separate problems. A weakness in any one pillar limits the others; the right balance between all three becomes the catalyst for productivity, efficiency and long-term competitiveness. It's the same conviction that shapes how we build TheManager itself.
